What is Wellness Week and how can it help with your future success?

What is Wellness Week? 

“Wellness Week is a great way to promote healthy activities to our students and employees. It brings students awareness of the 8 dimensions of wellness (physical, occupational, emotional, environmental, mental, social, spiritual) and targets them directly during Wellness Week. We bring in services and resources to show students what they could use and who they could reach out to in the future.” Says Crystal, who is a part of the committee. Wellness Week allows students to get familiar with local resources within the community and encourages them to create healthy lifestyles changes. Along with that it gives students a chance to be outside and enjoy the quad! 

I got to walk around the quad and some of the activities include 

  • Trivia 
  • Relaxation Station 
  • Friendship bracelets 
  • A dodgeball tournament 
  • An area to test drunk goggles

If you missed this year’s Wellness Week it takes place on the 3rd week of September at the Neosho Crowder campus. For other resources for students and you can contact the Student Success Center at the Neosho campus in McDonald Hall in room 115.
