Tyson Foods Inc. will be shutting down four production plants located in North Little Rock, Ark.; Corydon, Ind.; Dexter, Mo. and Noel, Mo. in 2024. The company claims this is in an effort to lower costs due to recent losses in revenue and will be moving production to other open plants in order to use them more efficiently. according to, Cindy Brown, Director of Public information at Crowder College, Workforce Innovation Board (WIB) in Joplin, the McDonald County Chamber of Commerce, Missouri’s Rapid Response team, and Crowder College will be working with Tyson Foods Inc. to help allocate help to the employees who will be affected by the closing of the plants.
