The Sleepover gives side stitch

With being college kids let alone college kids in a pandemic I felt it was my job to scope out the Netflix top ten movies and see what it is about.  We find ourselves with an abundance of time sitting and wondering what to do in a time like this.

So, I chose The Sleepover, ranked number three in the world today on Netflix. This movie was thrillingly hilarious, and I would recommend it to anyone!  When your overly normal second-class substitute teacher mom turns out to be a spy, things are bound to get interesting.

The bond between mother and daughter in this movie is inspiring. Just when 15-year-old Clancy (Sadie Stanley) thinks her mom, Margot (Malin Akerman) is the most boring and annoying woman on the planet, she soon gets kidnapped to become a jewel thief out of retirement and the witness protection program. Clancy, her best friend, brother Kevin (Maxwell Simkins) and Kevin’s friend swing into action to help save their parents.

It involves a cello, a cute boy, some ridiculous colonel costumes and some hilarious moments brought to you by the entire cast. The Sleepover is a wholesome comedy action-packed with hilarious moments as well as a touching storyline behind it all. I would highly suggest this movie for all ages and all scenarios.

I would give this movie a four out of five stars. This is a great movie to set down with a family to watch it is not overly long, about 1 hour and 40 minutes. Great for those to watch after dinner or college kids can stay up late and plan a movie night with friends. Social distanced of course.
