The Student Success Center (SSC) has a lot to offer students: tutoring, testing, advising and degree planning. Tutoring available for business topics, math, history/political science, economics, English and reading according to Jamie Stanley, SSC Advisor. This program accommodates all students free of charge.
The Testing Center offers a wide range of tests for all students. Each test that they proctor is explained in detail on accompanying pages. The placement test is no longer on a walk-in basis; please schedule a time to take the Accuplacer placement test.
Kylie Hackworth and Jamie Stanley, SSC Advisors, take students to four year colleges for tours along with advising them. Advisors will help with enrollment, academic alerts, grades, attendance and so much more. Carlee Barwick, Academic and Testing Specialist, who is in charge of tutor coordination, matches students with available tutors. Barwick’s advice to students: “If you need help, don’t be afraid to ask. Don’t wait until it’s too late”.
