Sports need to keep playing all the time in this world. The people in this world love watching sports and live off watching sports. Through all seven days of the week there is a sport being played and people are watching for fun or it is their favorite team, and they want them to win.
A friend of mine played in his jamboree game just before the regular season was about to start. Everything was going perfect with the team and the season until the next day he got an email saying the season is cancelled due to COVID-19. Canceling sports is ruining memories and moments these young kids have and would remember for the rest of their lives.
The people that are against sports say it is too dangerous because of the players’ health is at risk and people could die more easily. However, the teams should play because that’s what they get paid to do and if it makes the people feel better, just keep them in their little bubble, but people are not at risk when sports are being played.
I say let sports play and if you don’t want to go to the games or watch the games, then that’s your choice, but don’t stop other people out there that want to watch sports. Don’t take that away from them.
The world needs sports for many reasons, especially the main reason and that is money. Professional sports always bring in tons of money and they also help businesses gain money through advertising them at there stadium. If professional sports do not play, they will lose millions and even billions of dollars each year.
In 2019, the viewers in America for sports was 154.4 million per month, the percentage is predicted to go even higher in four years to 160 million.
Imagine growing up rooting for your hometown team and then the year is canceled, and it was their year to win the championship. Also imagine your season or your kids season being canceled. The passion, love, and support in these teams mean so much to the fans, and if sports are cancelled, then there will be a lot of depressed and lost people out in this world.
