Wildcat Glades volunteer Cameron Kruse brought his pet snakes out to the quad for Wellness Week on Tuesday, Sept. 17 to promote awareness of our natural environment and encourage students to volunteer at the Wildcat Glades organization.
Pictured above is Cameron Kruse, retired law enforcement and now a volunteer at Wildcat Glades, (also a former Crowder graduate himself) and he brought his two pet snakes out to the quad for Wellness Week. Why did he bring his snakes to campus? It was all to promote awareness of wildlife and their natural habitats, which is all around us!
Kruse confidently wrangled his beloved bull snake (pictured) throughout the day, and even let anyone who was brave enough hold him on their shoulders!
Kruse’s love for wildlife, like his snakes, led him to begin volunteering at Wildcat Glades in 2022. He loves getting the opportunity to educate others about the importance of our environment around us and being aware of the natural habitats that surround us. He raises and breeds snakes, and shared that this year he has hatched 3 clutches of bull snakes!
The best part? You can become a volunteer at Wildcat Glades, just like Kruse! All you have to do is fill out a form. Anybody can volunteer at the conservation center and be a part of preserving our environment!
