Wellness Week is Sept. 13-16 and will include various events and activities that cover the seven dimensions of wellness. Entries can be earned at every event for daily and grand prize drawings. The complete schedule for these events can be found on the Crowder.edu
The Missouri State University teacher education program expands to Webb City Crowder College. The 14-year-long partnership between Crowder and MSU offers students the opportunity to earn a bachelor’s degree in elementary education at their local Crowder campus.
The 2021-2022 student handbook becomes available online. Updated information regarding campus community, students and visitors can all be found among the policies and procedures that Crowder upholds.
A remembrance event honoring former Crowder Board of Trustees member James B. Tatum will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17 in the Elsie Plaster Community Center on the Neosho Crowder College campus. Mr. Tatum, 95, served 45 years as a board member and president; his influence grew a philosophy that introduced Crowder College national notability as a student-centered institution.

Counseling services is hosting Mindful Mondays. Discussions coming up include Wellness on Sept. 13 from 4:30-5:30p.m. in the Fireside Room, Anxiety on Sept. 20 from 4:30-5:30p.m. in the Roughrider Apartments, Relaxation on Sept. 27 from 4:30-5:30p.m. in the Brown Dorms (Gazebo). Snacks will be provided.
Crowder College is providing COVID-19 vaccination clinics at multiple locations. There are incentives to get a shot, such as a $100 Amazon gift card, $100 bookstore gift card, or $100 tuition voucher. The clinics are 2-5p.m. Sept. 9, McDonald County and 10a.m.-noon Sept. 13, Cassville. Cassville will also be providing flu shots during this clinic.
Students looking for inspiration may take a tour in the Elsie Plaster Community Center with the Longwell Museum Vault Exhibit taking place. Opening hours include Monday through Friday 9 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Opened on Sept. 1-Oct. 20. The Vault Exhibit opening reception is placed on Sept. 9, 5-7 p.m. Museum is closed during holidays and weekends.
