Q&A: General studies major answers some bizarre questions

Hannah Newell, general studies major, answers some crazy questions.
How old are you?
I am 18 years old.
Where are you from?
Goodman, MO
Favorite type of music?
Classic rock. I just grew up with it, my dad introduced it to me, and I just fell in love with it.
Favorite band along with your favorite song?
My favorite band changes every day, but right now I have been listening to a lot of Def Leppard, so I’ll have to go with them. My favorite song is Long Cool Woman in a black dress by the Hollies, just a classic.
What are some of your hobbies?
I like to read a lot, I play guitar, draw and paint.
Do you have a favorite class? If so, then why?
Probably Spanish, I really enjoy learning Spanish. I can move at my own pace, and I like to learn about different languages.
If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?
New Zealand. It is very cool, and I would love to see a Hobbit Hole.
Who would win in a fight between Spider-Man and Batman?
I am going to have to go with Spider-Man on this one. I think that Spidey can win. He has power over Batman, but that is a tough one.
If you could have any superpower, what would you have and why?
I would want the ability to see the future. I think that would be very cool, and I constantly worry about the future, so it would be nice to know what happens in the future.
What fictional world would you want to live in?
I am going to have to say Narnia. It is beautiful and cool.

He says hello, and he is from an alternate universe. He comes to bring me a warning.
If you could be any animal in the world, what animal would you be?
A dog, they seem so happy and just live in the moment.
You are given an elephant. You cannot give it away or sell it. What would you do with the elephant?
There are so many things you can do with an elephant. I would keep it as a pet, ride it and feed it. It would be awesome!
If you got to choose a song that would play every time you entered a room. What song would you pick?

When you’re alone in your car, driving to or from school, what do you think about?
I’m either in a really good mood, singing out loud to my music or I’m super stressed. Thinking, “Oh my God, what am I going to do?”
If aliens landed in front of you and in exchange for anything you desire, they offered you any position on their planet, what would you want?
I don’t know. It would be cool to keep all of their secrets.
If you could own any dinosaur, which one would you want?
I would have to go with my favorite, Brachiosaurus. They are just gentle giants, and they are super cool.
It’s Saturday morning. What’s the first thing you do when you wake up?
Check my phone.
When you are having a bad day, what do you do to make yourself feel better?
I listen to stand-up comedy and drink sweet tea.
If your life were a movie, what songs would be on the soundtrack?
That is a hard one. “Gypsy” by Fleetwood Mac, “Maybe I’m Amazed” by Paul McCartney, “Winds of Change” by the Scorpions.
