  • Campus Life is now accepting Angel Tree applications from qualifying students until Nov. 12. The Angel Tree fundraiser gives opportunities to students with kids to apply for a Christmas present. Applicants must be currently enrolled in at least 12 credit hours for the fall 2021 semester at Crowder, PELL eligible and have children 15 years of age or younger living in the home and claimed on their 2020 tax return.
  • The Crowder College women’s basketball team began their season at home Tuesday, Nov. 2 at 6 p.m. The team has 13 players, eight of which are returning players and five freshmen. Admission is $5 for adults, and $2 for school aged kids.
  • The Crowder Quill opened its annual free contest and is accepting entries through Feb. 1. There are eight different categories: B&W photography, color photography, poetry, nonfiction, fiction, digital art, 2D art, and 3D art. Each person is allowed to submit four entries in each category.   • Enrollment for the spring 2022 semester began Nov. 1 for priority enrollment, and classes begin Jan. 18. Students should contact their adviser to set up an appointment by going to the Student Success Center in room 115 McDonald Hall or calling 417-451-3223.
  • Crowder is one of 16 nationwide colleges to receive the Catalyze Challenge Group grant, which provides software development learning opportunities in south west Missouri. The new program will work through two high school career and technical education centers. Youth coding leagues will also begin in area middle and junior high schools.
  • The Catholic Campus Ministry will be hosting a cookout at 6:30 p.m., Dec. 5 at St. Caneras in Neosho. At 2 p.m., every Tuesday on the Quad, they will host Pray the Rosary. All students are welcome to attend both events.
  • The Crowder College Board of Trustees has approved a new expansion to the athletic department. The new sports will include Women’s Soccer, Men and Women’s Cross Country and Men and Women’s Golf in an effort to include more of the students at Crowder.
  • College and Missouri State University announce an expension to their partnership. This expansion provides Crowder colleg graduates in the Teacher Education progran to achieve credentials from Missouri State University without relocation. This gives Crowder graduates the opportunity to teach in classroom in areas in southwest Missouri.
