Michael Strahan – Art During Wellness Week

“Art refreshes the mind, how else can we get through the busy fall semester? Wellness week should be every week, teaching others to love themselves through this week and the different focuses are all very important.” 

Michael Strahan, a Dual Credit adjunct “Art Appreciation” teacher details his thoughts on Crowder College’s Wellness Week activities. One in particular, the “Relaxation Station” stuck out, we discussed what these activities do for many of the attributes of Wellness Week.

The attributes of wellness are as follows: environmental, occupational, emotional, spiritual, physical, mental and social. All of these points are vital in order to have a healthy mind and get the most out of school. When interviewing Michael Strahan, he touched on a few particular aspects. He mentioned emotional well-being, stress reduction and mental wellness. These aspects coincide with the “Relaxation Station”
