Sam Hoover, journalism major, loves cold weather and believes his spirit animal would be a moose.

What is your major?

Journalism and public relations.

Did anyone in particular lead you into journalism and public relations?

Not really any one person. I was originally an advanced manufacturing technology major, but switched to journalism and public relations because there are a lot more job opportunity in that.

Where are you from?

Originally from Oklahoma, lived in Neosho for a year now.

Why did you come to Crowder College?

I came to Crowder mostly because it was different from, where I was from and I was looking for a new start.

If you can take three things to a deserted island, what would they be?

A boat, food, and a water purifier.

What do you like to do outside of class?

I like listening to music, hanging out with friends, and being lazy.

Who is your favorite musician or band?

It’s hard to pick one because I listen to a lot. Sean Mendes is my guy, though.

What is your spirit animal?

Probably a moose. They live up north and love the cold, and I love the cold.

Would you rather fight one moose-sized squirrel or 50 squirrel-sized moose?

I think I’d rather fight the moose-sized squirrel. I would probably try to ride it.

What is your next tattoo?

I’ve got four drawn out right now. My next one will probably be a symbol from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. My siblings are planning on getting one in four separate pieces that form something when held next to each other.
