Q&A: Kenneth Aleri
Kenneth Aleri, business administration major, hails from London and is a midfielder for the Roughrider soccer team as a returning sophomore this season.
Do you live on or off campus?
On campus.
Why did you choose a business major?
I got good ideas. I want to help people with my business.
Do you play sports or do any extracurricular activities on campus?
Soccer.
What brought you to Crowder College?
Mainly for soccer. Also so I could get a good grade point average then transfer to a four-year school, also I got a soccer scholarship.
What college do you plan to go to after Crowder?
I’m not too sure yet.
What is your five year goal?
After I complete my bachelor degree, I want to start up a sport consultancy.
What does a sports consultancy entail?
[It] help[s] student-athletes find a college.
What is your favorite class so far?
I reckon speech because it is easy.
What is the best means of studying for a test for you?
Just make notes and read them three times a day a few days before a test.
What are some of your hobbies of yours off and on campus?
On campus is soccer, working out at the gym, eating, and off campus: fishing, video games, movies; that’s it.
What kind of video games do you play?
FIFA, and Grand Theft Auto.
What do you spend most of your time doing on campus?
Homework, going to class, what else: eat.
What is the best place to hang out on and off campus?
On campus, the student center. Off campus, I don’t really go off campus much unless I’m going to a friend’s.
What is your dream job?
Professional soccer player.
What is your favorite food?
It’s a Kenyan meal; it’s called pounded yam with chicken stew.
Why is that your favorite food? How did it become your favorite food?
I dunno, I grew up eating it, and it tastes good.
What is your favorite movie?
Howard and Kumar Go to Whitecastle.
What is your favorite time of year? Why?
Christmas, [because I] get to spend time with family.
What is your favorite type of music?
I listen to a lot of types of music, probably house, hip hop, and R&B [Rhythm and Blues].
If you could live anywhere in the world where would you live? Why?
London, because my family is there.
