Alright, I know this seems like an article that isn’t worth reading because duh, everyone knows how to Pinterest, right? Not right. As hard as it is for us Pinners to imagine a world without pinning our dream weddings, clothes we want, places we dream of going, shirtless Zac Efron pictures (doesn’t everyone else have this board? No?), and whatever else our little hearts desire, there are actually people out there who haven’t experienced this slice of Heaven on Earth. So for those of you who know what Pinterest is, this is a walk in the park for you, just a quick refresher of the thing that may or may not have (but totally has) taken over your life. Now, for those of you who are a bit late to the party, fear not, I’m here to introduce you to the wonderful (yet also borderline addictive) world that we love to call Pinterest.
For starters, let’s just go ahead and look at the definition of what Pinterest truly is. “Pinterest is an online service that allows you to share images through social networking. An example of Pinterest is the website where you have a “pinboard” that allows you to post ideas that you want to remember.” Ah, what isn’t stated here is that Pinterest is like a black hole that sucks you in and once you’re in, there’s no escaping (but like, in a totally fun and happy way). So, you find yourself to the main page, don’t worry friend – yes it can be overwhelming but I’m here to help you through it. See the search bar up there? Let’s go ahead and type something into it, something easy like… Cats. You can never go wrong there. Alright, you’ve typed it in, you’ve hit enter and what happens next? You see a variety of cats and it’s all you’ve ever wanted. But wait, it gets better. See those options right below the search bar? Click on one of those and it allows you to expa
nd the search to those things. Now, you see so much that you want to save and remember. But how can you remember all of these adorable furry faces? Easy – make a board. Come up with a clever name for your board such as “Soft Kitty, Warm Kitty..” and then you just start pinning cats until your hearts desire. It’s that simple. You can make different boards for different things so you can always stay organized! You may not be organized in your real life but when it comes to your Pinterest boards, your skills of organization will thrive. Now young grasshopper, go into that world of Pinterest and make it your own. You can do it. *Pins this article to motivational board*
