How Care Net Pregnancy Resource Center supports expecting parents

Care Net Pregnancy Resource Center provides comprehensive support to expecting parents, including counseling, medical services, and parenting classes.

On a warm, windy fall day during Crowder Wellness Week, Cindy Smith, the Alternative to Abortion Coordinator at Care Net Pregnancy Resource Center, sat down to explain how her services benefit the community.

With a warm, friendly smile, Smith explains the mission and services of Care Net. “Care Net is a free and confidential service dedicated to providing support and resources to expecting parents.” It is easy to tell Smith loves what she does for her community.

Care Net offers a range of medical services, including pregnancy tests, first trimester ultrasounds, limited STD testing, and referrals for both medical and social services. They also provide support services such as peer counseling, single mom groups, and single father groups. If expectant parents feel unable to keep the baby, they offer adoption assistance.

One of the most unique aspects of Care Net is the ‘Earn While You Learn’ program. With over 140 classes available, expecting parents can learn about a variety of topics, including breastfeeding, labor and delivery, and newborn care. As an incentive, parents can earn vouchers that can be redeemed at the Care Net boutique, which offers a wide variety of products such as diapers, baby clothes, and even strollers.

If expectant parents are interested in Care Net and the services they provide, Individuals can reach them Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. They are located at 1245 Southard Ave, Neosho, Missouri. You can also contact them by phone or text at (417) 456-9437 or visit their website at www.carenetneosho.org.
