Highlights of Wellness Week 2024

Wellness Week featured a variety of informational booths and hands-on activities Sept. 16-19, 2024 on the campuses of Crowder College. The following content was produced by students in the DIGM 102 Content Creation course as part of the Digital Media Marketing program at Crowder College.

Wellness Week celebrated its ninth year with a variety of activities and informational booths on Crowder’s campuses. Activities addressed the eight dimensions of wellness — physical, occupational, emotional, environmental, mental, social, spiritual, and financial — and included free fitness demos and food, information, games, painting bird houses, and more.

The following topics are featured in a special Wellness Week podcast at www.CrowderSentry.com produced by the students in DIGM 102 Content Creation as part of the Digital Media Marketing program at Crowder College.

For environmental health, the Wildcat Glade brought two live snakes.

For emotional and mental health, the TRIO program provided an opportunity to create friendship bracelets.

The Student Success Center (SSC) provides tutoring, career services, testing, academic advising, counseling services, and more.

The Missouri Highway Patrol hosted a drunk driving simulation activity using drunk goggles, a golf cart, and a driving course with traffic cones.

Care Net Pregnancy Resource Center provides support to expecting parents, including counseling, medical services and parenting classes.

The Relaxation Station provided activities that addressed emotional and mental wellness.
