Alex Guadarrama, a general studies major, stays local but dreams big.

Where are you from?

I’m from McDonald County, though I spend most of my weekends in Arkansas as I have family in the northwest region.

Why did you choose Crowder?

It’s cheap and I didn’t know what career I wanted to pursue out of high school.

What do you want to be when you finish college?

I’m still trying to figure that out. You know, it’d be nice to be famous.

Did you participate in any extracurricular activities in high school?

Cross[country] and track. That’s it I’m pretty sure.

What do you do in your free time?

Chill.

Do you have any pets?

No.

Who is your favorite educator at Crowder?

Robin Wolven was my college orientation teacher, and every time I go to the library she’s always helpful with any questions I have. Plus, she was a good college orientation teacher.

Is water wet?

No, this is Patrick.

What’s your zodiac sign?

I thought you were going to ask me questions that matter?

What are your three go-to items on a deserted island?

A flint rock, lots of string, and a knife.

Favorite meme and why?

Any meme that makes me laugh is a favorite meme of mine, to say that I have a specific one that’s my favorite is too much to ask.

Was the dress black and blue or gold and white?

I saw gold and white. We can’t all be heroes

What’s your favorite movie of all time?

You know, I really, really enjoy Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with Johnny Depp. It might be the greatest, I really enjoy it.

If you could have any super power, what would it be?

If I could have any power, it’d be super speed like the Flash. See in slow motion, and be anywhere in the world in less than a second.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Rio de Janeiro

If you could go back to any point in history, when would it be?

Back to my childhood; it was great being a kid. Technology wasn’t big compared to now. Kids would actually go outside and play and do dumb things. Nowadays, people live their lives behind a screen, and it wasn’t like that when I was a kid. People would interact with one another face to face, and I’m lucky to have had a childhood where I got to do these things and actually ride my bike around, or play with my friends and injure myself. Kids today don’t even know and it’s scary that this all occurred within the last decade. Don’t get me wrong, I played video games too, but I had the perfect balance between both playing indoors and outdoors.

What’s your favorite TV show?

Hands down Avatar the Last Airbender. Second is Stranger Things, but I’m currently watching Breaking Bad for the first time, and I’m a big fan so far.

Who is your favorite actor?

Ironman himself. Actually, I lied. Andrew Garfield is my favorite actor, not Robert Downey Jr. Downey Jr. is good, but I prefer Garfield.

If you were to get rid of one U.S. state, which one would it be?

It’d be Rhode Island for being tiny.

What would you do if you won a $500 million lottery?

I’d try to invest in stocks so I could make more money. Start a big business. Maybe use it to become famous somehow by buying expensive designer clothes to flex hard online and make terrible content on YouTube so I could make more money and gain a big following and get sponsorships from big companies. I don’t know, the possibilities are endless.

Would you steal bread to feed your family?

If I absolutely had to, I would, but if I’m healthy and capable of having a job, then why steal? I’m not saying people who steal are bad because I’ve stolen small items as a child because I was ignorant, but if you do something like that because you have to provide it for others, then you shouldn’t be punished. Society doesn’t always see good things like that, but that’s just my opinion.
