When it comes to frozen custard there are many choices, but Andy’s Frozen Custard offers a menu that is delectable and well worth the money. From cones to malts to banana splits, or my personal favorite, the concrete, you cannot afford to pass on the indulgence of one of Andy’s frozen treats.
Located at 2934 South Range Line in Joplin, I went to Andy’s with a group of friends and we each ordered something different, but in the end we were all well satisfied. Ordering a medium thinking I would get a dinky McDonald’s size serving, I was pleased when I received a well sized cup full of frozen goodness. It was almost more than I could eat at one sitting, and for the money, I can honestly say it was well worth it.
I ordered The Jackhammer, which is your choice of concrete with the center filled with your favorite topping. I took no time in choosing the Snowmonster concrete, a blend of vanilla frozen custard with fresh strawberries and melted chocolate chips, filled through the center with cheesecake topping, creating an exquisite and tasty treat. The only downside was the ice cream headache from lack of patience before taking another bite.
My friend’s ordered a mint chip concrete and a James Brownie Funky Jackhammer, which is “vanilla frozen custard blended with creamy peanut butter and brownies then filled with hot fudge.” With so many delicious selections, and store hours from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., I will definitely be a repeat customer.
