Exeter Corn Maize, a seasonal corn maze attraction, offers fun for all ages.

I would recommend visiting the Exeter Corn Maize attraction to experience the family-fun activities and the haunting trails. This year, the corn maze promotes safety by asking those attending to keep social distance and to use the hand sanitizers available throughout the farm; however, masks are not required.  From flower picking to diving into the corn pit, there is an activity for everyone.

Artie and Robyn Cole, owners of the Exeter Corn Maze, have 60 acres of pumpkin variety, and their eight-acre kid-friendly corn maze offers fun for all ages. This year, the Cole’s proudly presented their new maze design featuring “Spread Love”. The design is a girl blowing hearts and leaves with the surrounding message “Spread Love”. Recently, Best of the Four States awarded Exeter Corn Maze as the number one haunted house and pumpkin patch in the four states 2019-2020.

The public have four admission options which vary for adults and children. Barnyard activities cost an adult $5 while children admission costs $10. Barnyard activities include hayrides, cow train, petting zoo, movie room, corn pit, rock wall, pig races, ziplines, shootout shack, and their newest attraction, the pumpkin eating dragon, Paxter. This ticket option is best if accompanying a child to the farm.

Furthermore, the second ticket option is the corn maze armband that costs adults $12 and children $15. Choosing the corn maze armband ticket admission offers you barnyard activities and the regular corn maze. The haunted armband costs both adults and children $20; specifically, this option gives you full access to the entire farm including the haunting corn maze. I would suggest visiting on a Wednesday as prices for adults and children are $10 with full access to the farm.

By far, the most unnerving experience was The Haunted Barn. As I was standing in line to enter, you hear spine-chilling screeches within the barn. Once entering, you’re guided by distorted lights and creepy music echoing. Actors chase you throughout the barn as they wield fake chainsaws, yet the sound effects convince you otherwise. I left unscathed, of course, but I couldn’t stop trembling.

In addition, the Sunflower Fields at the Exeter Corn Maze is my new favorite attraction. The Sunflower Fields stretch as far as the eye can see; as well as, bright, golden sunflowers towers over you. It’s a perfect background for photos, and as a gift, visitors can pluck a sunflower and take it home.  I highly suggest checking out the field as it’s a photo opportunity you won’t want to miss.

Overall, the Exeter Corn Maze provides fun for all ages all while providing safety to the public. Opening day was Saturday, Sept. 5. The corn maze and other attractions will remain open through Nov. 1. For more information, visit www.exetercornmaze.com for hours and more.
