Additional athletics programs including women’s soccer, men and women’s cross country and men and women’s golf, has been approved by the Board of Trustees in the Oct 25 meeting.
“These additions are being made in an effort to adapt to the changing needs of our students and community in athletics,” Cindy Brown, Director of Public Information, states. Crowder already participates in Men’s Soccer and Baseball, Women’s Basketball and Softball as well as Co-Ed eSports.
Tiffany Slinkard, Vice President of Student Affairs, stated at the October board meeting, “The students at high schools in our district have expressed a great interest in contributing to and participating in these new programs.”
The goal is to start these new sports by Fall 2022 semester with coaches hired by January and recruitment starting in the spring. The Cross Country and Golf coaches will be part-time positions, while the coach for Women’s Soccer will be full-time position.
