Why did you choose Crowder College?
My friend dreamed of playing in the United States. He was accepted into Crowder College and suggested I come here too. My coach put in a good word for me and now I’m here playing soccer.
What do you think of Missouri so far?
Neosho is too small. You must travel to places like Joplin to have fun. It feels like I’m on vacation. It doesn’t feel like I’m living in the United States yet.
What was your hometown Brampton like?
Brampton is the city in the Canadian province of Ontario. Where I lived, Brampton is spread out and all the stores are easily accessible by walking. It’s always sunny in Brampton.
How did you get interested in soccer?
My dad played soccer, and he had a passion for it. So, it was my dad that pushed me as a kid, and from there it was my choice to continue soccer.
What is your favorite sports team/player?
My favorite sports team is Team Liverpool. As for my favorite player, that would definitely be Cristiano Ronaldo.
What is the origin to the name “Kid Canada”?
“Kid Canada” was a nickname given from my coach. We went to this game competition in the United States. During the game my coach randomly began chanting “Kid Canada” to me, and since then, the name stuck.
What accomplishment are you the proudest of?
My proudest moment was at a soccer ESPN Florida competition. I shot a free kick at this incredible angle, and it was caught on camera. Best moment ever.
What music playlist do you listen to before a game or during training?
Don’t laugh, but I actually listen to anime openings, endings, and soundtracks.
In that case, what’s the current anime music you listen to?
Right now, Black Clover ending 4 is my favorite. Attack on Titan has a great soundtrack to listen while training.
What is your favorite and hated anime show?
My favorite anime is Naruto. I even have a tattoo of the character named Rock Lee in Japanese characters. I hate Fairytail because of the message it portrays which is “friendship is power”. It’s too cheesy.
